So today, in art class, while working on a project my table somehow got into a discussion about politics. (Obama, McCain, blah blah woof woof.) The kid next to me randomly is like, "What's your religion?" I said Wiccan, and half the table has no idea what that is. But the kid who had asked me suddenly starts calling me an evil witch who worships Satan. SO TO SET IT STRAIGHT; Wicca is NOT Satan Worship! It's a religion that revolves around nature. Wicca is NOT evil. (=
Sahara & art (c) to me.
(Ps: Turns out the kid's also a racist. He hates Arabic, Spanish, African, and basicly anything that's not Irish or Scottish. He's also one of those people who believes being Christian is the only way, and anyone who believes otherswise worships the devil. )
Nice wolf (and if it's not a wolf, well I guess I just proved I'm stupid).. and as far as the message behind this, I'd just like to point out that my Wiccan friends are probably the nicest people I've ever known. And as to your racist classmate, I wish harm upon no one, but I wouldn't mind if they stub their toe everytime they walked into another room.
Sahara's a wolf, so don't worry. She's just small. Thankyou so much! I'm not really a sensitive person, but it really gets to me when someone assumes that wiccan is Satan worship. Once again, thanks so much for the comment. <3
Okay, and you're welcome very much. And I'm the same way, not too sensitive, but it really gets to me when people make ignorant assumptions about anything.
How'd you know? xD I thought it was pretty great how everyone left the table after that. I was a little guilty at first, but when i went back to talk to him, he made another racist remark. Not so guilty anymore.
i wonder what would happen if tunstall heard one of his racist remarks? since all he does in class is raise his hand up for every question like a know-it-all.
so true I am Wiccan myself and there was a whole group of people at a table in my lunch that called me and my boyfriend and his friend satinists and well X3 I started yelling at the "lead" crackhead and told him exactly that we are nothing more than caring, enivironmentally-freindly, nice people... I hate it when people say that about us I know how it feels
I just find it extremely frustrating that there's nothing I can really do about it. I got the kid moved, but that doesn't stop him or his friends. And the teachers don't do shizznit about it. I feel like I'm trapped.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
